About Karaoke Venues NYC

There is something undeniably electric about a private karaoke room, and in 2026, New York City has no shortage of incredible spaces to belt out your favorite anthem with your closest crew. Whether you are planning a birthday bash, a team bonding night, or just a spontaneous Thursday that needs a soundtrack, this collection of six venues delivers the full spectrum of karaoke experiences across Manhattan and Brooklyn. From the futuristic 3 private karaoke rooms tucked inside Nebula, the immersive Midtown nightclub sitting between Times Square and Bryant Park, to the intimate Brooklyn cocktail bar vibes of Grace and Ruby's in Williamsburg, there is a room sized and styled for every kind of group. The options here range from cozy and affordable to genuinely jaw-dropping. The Love Shack in Bushwick brings surreal loft energy with its life-size dollhouse aesthetic, perfect for a small group of up to 50 who want their karaoke night to double as a conversation piece. Meanwhile, Fushimi Times Square brings refined Japanese elegance to the mix, with multiple private rooms including the Samurai Room and Geisha Room, making it a natural fit for groups who want great sushi and craft cocktails alongside their mic time. Aura 57 on West 57th Street near Columbus Circle rounds out the Manhattan options with its high-end club atmosphere and private rooms that can be fully customized for your celebration. What makes this collection special is the range of group sizes it covers. Grace and Ruby's in Williamsburg fits up to 60 guests and comes equipped with microphones and a full PA system that is plug-and-play ready, making it ideal for a casual but well-equipped karaoke night without a steep minimum spend. On the other end of the spectrum, Nebula's karaoke rooms sit inside a 10,000 square foot venue with 1,700 LED screen panels and world-class sound, so your warm-up act is literally a nightclub. Whatever your vibe, this collection has a stage waiting for you.

Expert Tip

For birthday groups of 15 to 25 people who want a karaoke experience that feels truly special rather than just functional, book one of Nebula's private karaoke rooms on West 41st Street. The contrast of having an intimate room inside one of NYC's most technologically advanced nightclubs means your group can rotate between their own private singing space and the full immersive main floor, giving the night real momentum and variety that a standalone karaoke bar simply cannot match.

Venue Selection Guide

Your Complete Guide to Booking a Private Karaoke Venue in NYC

Choosing the Right Space for Your Group

The first thing to nail down is your group size, because karaoke energy lives and dies by the room fit. Nebula in Midtown offers private karaoke rooms that hold up to 20 guests, making them ideal for a tight-knit crew who wants an immersive, high-tech experience within a 10,000 sq. ft. nightclub setting. For larger celebrations, Fushimi Times Square brings multiple private and semi-private rooms into play, with options like the Grand Room holding up to 150 guests, so your karaoke night can scale into a full dinner and dance party. If you want something cozy and Brooklyn-rooted, Grace and Ruby's in Williamsburg fits up to 60 guests with a removable stage, microphones, and a full PA system built right in.

Understanding Minimum Spends and Budgeting

NYC karaoke venues typically work on a minimum spend model rather than a flat rental fee, so your group's tab covers the cost of the space. Grace and Ruby's has one of the lowest entry points at a minimum spend of $75, which is a fantastic option for a casual birthday or team outing in Brooklyn. The Love Shack in Bushwick starts at $200 and gives you the full quirky, dollhouse-styled venue exclusively, which is a steal for a private buyout. Nebula and Aura 57 both start at just $100 in minimum spend, though keep in mind that Nebula's world-class production and VIP services make it easy and worthwhile to spend more for a premium experience. Fushimi Times Square sets a higher bar at $1,750 minimum, but that comes with elevated Japanese cuisine, craft cocktails, and one of the most visually striking Midtown event settings you will find.

Timing Your Event Right

Karaoke is a late-night activity by nature, and several venues in this collection are noted as open late, including Fushimi Times Square, Aura 57, and Grace and Ruby's, so you have room to let the night run long. For corporate team bonding or daytime birthday brunches, venues like Aura 57 explicitly offer private event space available for booking day or night, giving you flexibility that pure nightclubs often cannot. If you are planning around a holiday party season in 2026, book early since Midtown venues like Nebula and Fushimi Times Square fill up quickly between November and January. Brooklyn spots like Grace and Ruby's and The Love Shack tend to have more booking flexibility but are equally in demand for spring and fall celebrations.

Questions to Ask Before You Book

Always confirm whether karaoke equipment is built into the room or requires an add-on, since venues like Grace and Ruby's specifically call out microphones and a PA system as included, while others may handle it differently. Ask about food and beverage minimums, what is included in the drink package, and whether outside decorations or a cake are allowed, especially for birthday bookings. If you are considering Nebula, ask about their karaoke room tech specifically, since the venue is known for its 1,700 LED screen panels and state-of-the-art sound, and you will want to know how that feeds into the private room experience. For Lot 15 inside the Kixby Hotel, confirm which room configuration works best for your vibe, since the Classic Room holds up to 80 guests privately while the bar area is semi-private and better suited for a more casual hang.

Neighborhood Tips for a Great Night Out

If you are booking in Midtown, Fushimi Times Square and Nebula are both steps from one of the world's most energetic intersections, so pre-party drinks and post-event exploration are built into the evening. Aura 57 on West 57th Street sits close to Columbus Circle and the southern edge of Central Park, making it a sophisticated choice if your group wants a slightly quieter Midtown pocket with upscale energy. In Brooklyn, Williamsburg is packed with bars and restaurants along Bedford Avenue and the waterfront, so booking Grace and Ruby's means your crew can start the night out before heading in for karaoke. Bushwick is a destination neighborhood with a creative, nightlife-forward crowd, and The Love Shack's dollhouse aesthetic will give your Instagram feed something completely unlike any other karaoke night in the city.

Insider Picks for Different Vibes

For the most visually jaw-dropping karaoke experience in NYC, Nebula is the move, with its futuristic private karaoke rooms sitting inside a 500-person immersive nightclub between Times Square and Bryant Park. If your group loves the idea of combining excellent Japanese food, sake, and sushi with a belting session, Fushimi Times Square is the refined pick that covers dinner and karaoke under one stunning roof. Grace and Ruby's in Williamsburg is the best call for a low-key, community-feel celebration where the complimentary house-made popcorn and rotating beer on tap keep the mood loose and fun. For something truly one-of-a-kind in 2026, The Love Shack in Bushwick offers a surreal, dollhouse environment that transforms any karaoke night into an unforgettable event that your guests will still be talking about weeks later.

This venue is such a hidden gem! It is as stunning in person as it is in pictures! Brittany the owner answered all my questions and I had plenty! All of my guests could not stop talking about how gorgeous the place was! Thank you so much for making my 40th beetlejuice event amazing!

We came to this new club after finding it on Google Maps while we were in the area. Since it was our first time, we decided to try the bar instead of booking a table to get a feel for the atmosphere. The place is fun, and we really enjoyed the music. We’ll probably be back with friends and might book a table next time! P.S. A big thank you to the lovely lady at the door for taking a moment to tell us more about the spot, even though she was standing outside in the cold. Stay warm!

Such a hidden gem in terms of food quality. One of the best sashimi platters I have had around the area, plus the rib-eye steak was absolutely delicious. Very cute and cozy, definitely ah amazing spot for a night out.

Nebula Nightclub in Manhattan is a cool spot with great vibes and music. Overall, it’s a fun place to hang out and enjoy the nightlife scene.
